About the Job

We work on behalf of the social services and, in consultation with clients, we adapt our efforts to meet existing needs.

As a treatment assistant, you play a key role by providing motivating and individually tailored support to our clients. Your task is to promote a good quality of life and support clients in taking care of their homes while actively working to counter social isolation by motivating them to engage in meaningful leisure activities and employment.

In the role of treatment assistant, you will be part of a larger workgroup and will be the responsible contact person for a number of clients, which includes supporting the client with authority and healthcare contacts, as well as conducting motivational conversations and providing practical support to maintain comfort in the client's home.

You will establish implementation plans in accordance with the social services' assignments and continuously document your work in our IT system, Treserva. In collaboration with your colleagues, you are an important cog in executing daily operations, which also includes performing practical tasks as needed. Within the apartment housing in Hisingen, we work in a larger joint workgroup to meet the needs of our clients living in various apartment blocks in Hisingen and in some integrated apartments around Gothenburg. You will work side by side with experienced treatment assistants and a unit manager. You will be part of a team characterized by care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• You have a B driver's license and can drive a car.
• You have at least a two-year YH education focused on social work.
• You are flexible and can adapt to different situations and needs.
• You can work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are attentive and interested in understanding others.
• Being socially secure and able to meet people from different backgrounds is a given for you.
• You can set boundaries.

• Working hours are flexible, and we staff the operation on weekdays between 08:00-19:00 and weekends between 08:00-16:30, giving you an employment rate of 38.25 hours/week.

About Us

The Social Administration South-West is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees.
